I guess I don’t understand people

It is absolutely bizarre to me that people you used to date will introduce you to their new person and when you say Hi and congratulations and smile and offer words of encouragement, they look at you like you have gone mad. 

I’m sorry, am I not supposed to be happy that a Human found love with another Human?

We broke up. They met someone else. They’ve been with that person for over a year. They’re happy. So… why am I supposed to be unhappy?

Sometimes I feel as though Humanity as a whole has never been as evolved as I am.
